Matt McCarty

Matt McCarty is a professional golfer taking the PGA tour by storm and coming out of nowhere as a star! In 2024, he won three times on the Korn Ferry Tour to become the 13th player ever to earn promotion to the PGA Tour by winning three times in one year. Then in just his third start on the PGA Tour he won his first PGA event at Black Desert Resort by three strokes.

McCarty is joint-third (only 4 players total have ever done this) in the all-time list of players to secure a PGA Tour win in the fewest starts. Bob Gilder, Seve Ballesteros, and Russell Henley all managed a victory in their third start. With the most recent being Russell Henley in 2013. Only two players achieved this faster - Garrick Higgo won on his second start and Jim Benepe triumphed on his PGA Tour debut.

Most notably in his first Masters, McCarty finished T-14 at the end of the weekend. An incredible accomplishment for a rookie on the PGA Tour.
