Sophia Popov

In August 2020, Popov's tenacity paid off in spectacular fashion at the AIG Women's Open at Royal Troon. Entering the tournament ranked 304th in the world and having only secured a spot through her performance on the Symetra Tour, Popov defied the odds.
Following her Major Championship win, Popov's career took a new direction as she decided to take a break from professional golf to focus on her personal life. In 2022, she joyfully announced the birth of her first child, embracing motherhood with the same dedication and passion she had shown on the golf course.
